Due to the inherent traits of artisan-crafted products and applied finishes, slight variation in color, pattern, or thickness may occur. For lighting products, most pictures are taken when product is lit.
Planes and trains and World War I will bring you back to the era of the Troy Lighting Circa 1910 Traditional wall sconce, which brings nostalgia for the easy pace of life and lower gas prices. It also recalls that high quality tradition since it is hand forged iron with an old rust finish. The broad base provides ample light for your porch or patio. Remember the old times, have a good time.

Questions and Answers

  • How is Dark Sky defined? What is the effect produced by that option?
    JohnFeb 10, 2007
The Dark Sky option means that the outdoor lighting fixture features a design such that light will only be directed downward (by adding another metal shade for TL-B-9271-OR); no light shines upwards, keeping the sky dark. Such compliance exists because certain residential communities feels that light shines onto neighboring property is annoying, wastes energy, and obscures the night sky. Dark sky Compliance reduces light pollution and sky glow, allowing people to view the stars more clearly without the sky glow. Therefore, certain communities would only allow Dark Sky Compliant outdoor lighting fixtures. Furthermore, lighting that glares in your eyes is a potential safety hazard.

  • Could you please tell what the dark sky means? Do I have to get dark sky on model TL-B-9271-OR?
    JaseJul 15, 2009
Item number TL-B-9271-OR only comes available as a dark-sky compliant. What this means is that the light is the light only points downward and DOES NOT give an overall/all around lighting effect.
