Inspired by the soft sandy hues of the seaside, the distinctive look of this chest is achieved by building it out of individual, precision-cut strips of mango wood, not merely covering it with a veneer. Although a tour de force of carpentry, the effect is effortless and casual. To achieve this sun bleached look, the piece is first lightened and then given a subtle creamy wash. The chest is fitted with solid cast iron pulls.
