Cast of an innovative, award-winning and green mineral-based composite called Compo Clay, it is our belief that the originals of this romantic pair date from the California Studio period of decorative arts - c.1960 - 1975. They are masterfully carved mirror images of each other, with bases that interlock to create a wonderful sense of movement and fluid symmetry - unusual for the period in which they were created.
