After years of searching, Studio A is happy to have found an Italian ceramics studio versed in the long lost art of 'volcanic' or 'lava' glazes. Not available in the mass market since the 1960's, these very special glazes are technically demanding and difficult to achieve, with each piece having surface variations unique to itself.
