In general, the answer is yes, because there are compact flouresecent lamps that are in medium base so it can replace the regular Edison E26 incandescent light bulb. 25W compact flourescent is about the same brightness as 100W standard, incandescent lamp. However, I believe the 25W compact flourescent lamp is a bit longer in height than a standard Edison light bulb. If you use the 25W compact flourescent lamps, then it might still out from the shade. The 15W compact fluorescent lamps (60W incandescent lamp equivalent) are a bit short and we can't gurantee if it will stick out from the shade.Feb 17, 2009
