Hello Barbara, The SG-4725-05 can only be hung with the glass globes facing upward. If you hang them face down it will over heat the socket and will short the entire light.Feb 24, 2012

Item SG-4725-05 is UL Listed for Damp Locations so you can definitely use it in a bathroom setting. You just don't want to place these lights over a shower enclosure where they could possibly get water on them but if you're placing them over a vanity/countertop you should be just fine.Aug 03, 2012
