    The QZ-TFKM1508VB can be shorted. It comes with 2, 6 inch rods and 2, 12 inch rods. All the rods do not need to be utilized. The answer to your 100 Watt light bulb is relative. I do not know several variables so I can not answer whether or not it will be sufficient.
