Questions and Answers

  • We are a condo and would need approximately 250 of these lights. They are for an outdoor application very near the ocean. Is this light made of solid brass. How long can we expect this to last without corrosion? We need a light that will swing freely since some of the lights will be applied to a slanted shingle and we want them to hang straight down. Thanks for your help.

    The QZ-NY8315Z is a brass fixture and they can better withstand the elements near the beach environment than aluminum, steel, and cooper. I spoke with Quoizel and them told me that they could last anywhere from 2-7 years. You have to consider ocean water mist. This is the most detrimental element to metals near the Ocean. These lights are brass plated and not complete brass nor do they swing so they hang on a fixed position.
