    The stem on Progress Lighting model # PG-P5184-104 is metal. There are (2) 6" stems, (1) 12" stem, and (1) 15" stem, which you may mix and match to your liking.

    The manufacturer provided the attached document to hopefully give you a better idea of how the stems are joined on model number PG-P5184-104. The canopy/ceiling plate is 6 3/4 “ diameter and it is included with the fixture. The Stems are threaded on the ends and connected with nipples.
