This Nora Lighting low voltage retrofit kit allows you to retrofit existing standard 6” incandescent housings to fit low voltage, high performance halogen light fixtures. Low voltage halogen light fixtures help save energy, reducing your energy costs, which adds to the appeal of this retrofit housing kit.

Features

Nora Lighting's Low Voltage Retrofit Kits provide an easy and affordable solution to convert existing standard 6" incandescent housings to high performance low voltage halogen fixtures.

Kits are available for 12V 50W max MR16 light sources and require the use of a low voltage recessed trim. Ideal for instantly changing general lighting to halogen spot and accent effects.

Transformer: Pre-mounted to socket plate. 120V Input, 12V Output with MR16 socket. Quick installation screw base to medium socket included.

Minimum Clearances: NLK Retrofit kits are intended only for use as non-IC components and upon installation, the housing used for the kit must maintain minimum clearances of 3" from thermal insulation and 1/2" from adjacent building components. Recessed housing and trim sold separately

  • I want to convert one of my recessed can to accept an MR16 halogen light bulb to illuminate a 24" by 36" picture on my wall. The recessed can is located approximately 24 inches out from the wall. Is this Nora Lighting 6" Low-Voltage 12V 50W MR16 Non-IC Retrofit Kit - NLK-2600 what I need to convert the recessed can to do what I want it to do?
