    I have verified this information with the manufacturer on item # LK-935-TB and unfortunately this product would not work for the amount of clearance that you need. I was informed that the actual shade of this lamp is actually 9-10 inches and that does not include the downrod and canopy which brings it to a total height of approximately 16 inches. I would strongly recommend looking at flush mounts and not semi-flush mounts because you have such a limited space/clearance to the front door.
