Hello Dee, Kichler advised that model KR-30110-BLKP has the ability to be hardwired or you can also use it as also comes with a plug or cord if you want to just plug in to standard outlet. The fixture can only extend outwards but can not be swung fully from left to right . The arm just extends outwards at the base.Aug 08, 2011
