    • Not your flimsy porch light but heavy and sturdy.

      Arcadian lighting had the best price for this item and I checked everywhere. We have a big house with a large porch in front and in back so we needed 8 of them. These are big and at least twice as heavy as those flimsy ones you can buy at the big box stores. This is not sheet metal in any way. The only design flaw I can see is that all this weight is only held up by two small center mounted screws which I felt were inadequate. Instead I drilled a hole in each of the 4 corners of the inside base and put an extra screw for more support. With the iridescent glass it looks great in the evening and the arts and crafts design goes great with our house.
