  • Can this fixture be mounted up or down?

    Hello Saskia, Hinkley Lighting informed that although you can mount this fixture with the shades facing downwards they recommend mounting the fixture as pictured (with the shades facing upwards). The reasoning for this is that the fixture uses Halogen bulbs which create a lot of heat. When the heat rises it can escape up the top of the shade. If the shades are facing down the heat sits in the shade and will cause your light bulbs to burn out a lot more often roughly 50% of the life of the bulb is cut.
