I am interested in buying step lighting fixtures and wondered if Dabmar LV-LED612 Outdoor Recessed Step Light - DM-LV-LED612 could be used indoors if put in by a qualified electrician. Also, since these lights use so little power and I'd use 5 at most, the total wattage would only be 3.5Watts. Is there a transformer that is recommended? I'm just concerned the load would be so low as to damage the lights.Jun 08, 2009
Dabmar LV-LED612 can in fact be installed indoors. If the location will be going through inspection, please be advised that if the surrounding is combustible material, such as wood, a "sleeve" will need to be built prior to installation - the sleeve should be made of concrete or metal. As for the transformer, Dabmar 40W Magnetic Buck Boost LED Transformer (Indoor use only) - DM-LVT40-A is the recommended transformer and since this is a magnetic transformer, there is no minimum load required.Jun 10, 2009
