Transitional Bathroom Lighting

Design Tips:

  • Don’t be afraid to decorate with transitional bathroom lighting as these complement a wide range of interior and architectural styles.
  • Choose a transitional bathroom light with hardware in a finish that complements the other fixtures in your bathroom, such as the sink’s faucet.
  • Opt to decorate with two different kinds of transitional bathroom lights from the same family, such as wall sconces and a pendant light with the same design.
The transitional style melds together traditional and contemporary designs and materials to create an unmistakably classic and timeless design. You’ll notice that the lines of transitional bathroom lights are simple yet sophisticated and have either straight, angular lines or curved, rounded profiles. You’ll definitely notice the distinct style of transitional bathroom lighting.

Transitional bathroom lighting is available in a multitude of designs and finishes. Some transitional bathroom lights have one to as many as 12 lights, and some may be mounted up or down. You’ll find lights with brushed nickel, chrome, oiled bronze, brushed steel or hammered ore finishes and with tea-stained glass, alabaster glass, opal glass or frosted glass shades. The shapes of the shades are also as varied as the selection of the types of finishes and shades that are available.

Transitional bathroom lighting may be used in a variety of applications. It’s generally installed in the bathroom as task lighting in addition to general lighting. One way to decorate with a transitional bathroom light is to place one above a mirror directly over the sink. This provides you with extra light to perform daily tasks such as washing your face, brushing your teeth or applying makeup. Sometimes transitional bathroom lights are placed on each side of a bathroom mirror for the same purpose.

Choosing transitional bathroom lighting doesn’t have to be a difficult task. Arcadian Home provides you with exceptional choices from only the best manufacturers of stylish transitional bathroom lights, including Capital Lighting, Access Lighting , Hinkley Lighting , Kichler Lighting , Progress Lighting, Craftmade, and Quorum Lighting.

The image on the left of the stunning, Varaluz Grove Transitional Bathroom / Vanity Light is a great example of how this light fixture may be used. Notice how two of these three-light pieces, with the frames in a gloss black with new bronze finish and recycled white opal glass shades, hang above each sink. They are installed at just the right height as to provide ample task lighting for everyday activities that you perform in your bathroom, such as brushing your teeth, applying or removing makeup and shaving. Furthermore, you can’t help but notice how the frame’s hardware matches with the rest of the hardware in the bathroom, including the sinks’ faucets. It’s an attractive transitional bathroom light that perfectly complements the bathroom’s transitional style.

New Customer Review

24" mirror light bar

Item was on backorder for months. I also ordered a 48" light that never arrived in time for installation in my new home. This was not due to Arcadian-home but due to summer shutdown of manufacturer. I was very happy was Arcadian and their staff. They were very apologetic for the delay beyond their control. Arcadian was very professional and would recommend them and their customer service.
