Use a floor lamp with a Tiffany style shade to add color and pattern to a Mission or Craftsman style interior done in a classic earth tone color palette.
Add a natural element to a room's design with a Tiffany floor lamp that mimics a favorite flower, tree or other pattern found in nature.
Use a single Tiffany lamp in a room to be a focal point. Or coordinate multiple lamps and lighting with matching Tiffany glass lampshades.
Tiffany floor lamps trace their design heritage back to American designer Louis Comfort Tiffany. Tiffany lamps are named after his designs in stained glass. The original Tiffany lamps featured natural and geometric patterns that reflected earth tones and interesting patterned, slag and colored translucent and opaque glasses. Today's Tiffany lamps, including Tiffany floor lamps, continue the long tradition of combining beautiful glass shades with handsome metal lamp bases. These beautiful floor lamps can add style as well as function to home interiors, restaurants, hotels and other businesses, including offices. These Tiffany floor lamps bring elegance and a sense of history to whatever room or space they illuminate.
Tiffany floor lamps fall into several style categories. Like mica floor lamps, Tiffany floor lamps are often done in the Arts & Craftsman or Mission styles. Along with these two styles are Art Nouveau and even Art Deco along with traditional and modern style floor lamps. The stained glass shades can be designed in floral, geometric or abstract patterns. The shade and based should be of similar if no that same style to create a beautiful and stylish Tiffany floor lamp. Popular metal finishes include bronze, antique brass and copper. Shapes and sizes vary as with all floor lamps. There are Tiffany floor lamps with single lights, multiple arms and even torchiere lamp forms.
Like other Tiffany style lighting, Tiffany floor lamps can be used throughout the home along with restaurants, hotel and office interiors. The Tiffany floor lamps offered here look beautiful when used in living areas such as living rooms, family rooms, dens and home offices. The rich colors of the stained glass shades will complement most interior color palettes. Coordinating wall and fabric colors with the colors found in a Tiffany floor lamp shade is an easy way to pull together the look of a room with a Tiffany lamp.
Please tell me where the switch is located for the reading and torchiere lamp? Is the torchiere have a 3-way switch? Lastly, can you tell me the height of the reading lamp for this Dale Tiffany Tiffany Torchiere Lamp - DT-TR10022?
JoannMar 03, 2011
Dale Tiffany TR10022 switch is right below the torchiere shade. It is the same switch for the torchiere and the reading lamp. This Dale Tiffany torchiere lamp does not have a three way switch. We do not have the information yet regarding the height of the reading light.
Beware/only 20%stained glass, the rest if plastic!!!
I saw this lamp and thought it would be perfect for the new house. It was delayed in shipping (I had no idea it was made in CHINA!) Had I known it was manufactured in China, I would have NEVER have bought it. It is expensive, but poorly made. The "glass" insert in the main part of the lamp which is a cheeply hinged door for access to the night light bulb, had a broken hinge, which makes it hang crooked. At least one hinge was still attached on the very top left side. The latch to open the door is so tiny, you may need a tweezer to open it. While the design of the lamp is nice, the quality is awful. I thought the "glass" would be just that, but was sadly mistaken. Only approximately 20 - 25% of the shade is glass, the rest is colored plastic. This Plastic Lamp is not worth the money. It comes totally unassembled as well.
