  • The bulb for this unit is 50W, 12V. This confuses me. Is there some type of transformer included with the unit since the intent is to plug it into a 115V house electrical system.

    The Fiero Pendant TECH-FIERO is a low voltage pendant light. If you notice on the webpage it will ask you what system you are going to use the pendant on. If you purchase it as an "800MPFIE" Monopoint Mount then you will need to purchase the canopy (mounting hardware that includes the transformer) separately. If you scroll down on the link provided you will see the different canopy/mounting options. http://arcadianhome.com/TECH-FIERO (scroll down) If you purchase the "800RLFIE" For use with Monorail System (adapter included). This means that you are going to be attaching it to a Tiella Monorail track system. Technically the monorail system if low voltage will already have the transformer so the pendant would attach to the monorail and you would not need to purchase a separate transformer. If you are in the USA typically home outputs are at a 120V and the transformers convert it down to a 12V so that the pendants can be hung.

Good Color & Design but the light filament is lacking....

Quality where the bulb plugs into the light filament is bad. I own three lights and two out of three are not working. I have to jiggle the bulb to light up the bulb. My wife is not happy! We love the amber color as it goes perfect with our granite counter tops, it looks like we will have to replace all three. Not a good investment if you are looking to purchase unless the manufactor replaces the defective light filaments.
