    Hello John, I contacted Trans Globe and they advised that the bottom of the fixture TG-4484-PL is open/exposed to the elements.

looks nice but inadequat mechanically

This is a very nice outdoor fixture, but it fails to work properly, 1st the screw shell holders are brittle and crack easily, and for some odd reason the bulbs keep burning out , i've only had this fixture for a couple weeks and i already had to change 3 bulbs,and the nuts that hold the fixture to replace bulbs are too small and easily get lost. I will say everyone does compliment on it.
