Hubbardton Forge

Founded in 1974 by George Chandler and Reed Hampton in Vermont, Hubbardton Forge fired up its first blacksmithing forge in a old barn—a befitting humble beginning for a company that prides itself on hand-crafting heirloom products in an environmentally friendly manner steeped in tradition. Chandler and Reed began by using the tools of traditional blacksmithing: anvils, trip hammers, swage blocks as well as other antique tools. Reviving the almost forgotten craft of hand-forged metal, Hubbardton Forge has become the largest and now oldest commercial forge in America. A team of over 200 people work and collaborate on hand-crafting products using heavy gauge steel, durable powder-coated finishes, hand-welded arms and shafts, and premium grade internal components using modern technology. The timeless simple designs, quality craftsmanship and top notch customer service make Hubbardton Forge a leading lighting company for today's residential and commercial interiors and exteriors.

The Hubbardton Forge New Town Transitional Chandelier pictured here is an excellent example of the style and quality expected from the hand forged lighting of Hubbardton Forge. Each light is handmade and features a deep, rich signature finish. This chandelier's glass shades are seeded glass with small “imperfections” in the glass that add texture and visual interest to the beaker shaped shades. Each shade has a unique pattern of bubbles, or seeds, that give it the hallmarks of artisan glass. The signature dark finish from Hubbardton Forge lighting means it is easy to blend different lighting forms from wall sconces to Hubbardton Forge chandeliers.     Hello, The dimension of the canopy plate is 5.3" and should be enough to cover your 3-1/2" J-box.

Great Merchandise, but...

Great merchandise and great price. On line tracking system was nearly worthless. System finally showed shipped just a couple days before arrival (about 2 weeks later). I emailed customer service early on and they did provide shipping information on one of my boxes, so I was able to track shipping status, but it was kind of frustrating their online system was ineffective.
