  • I am interested in this for my kitchen. Am replacing florescent light box, so still need a lot of light. Mine currently has 5 4" light fixtures. What type of output would you say this new fixture gives? Can florescent bulbs be used in it? I will also be using some can lights. Does the height of 19.5" include the length of chain? Or, does the chain add another 10"? Does the chain have to be used? Or can it be hung without it?

    The height is 19.5" is measured without the chain & wire. You will need to use at least 2 chain links on each side to hang this fixture. As for the lamp, you can use 15W-20W compact fluorescent lamp that can fit into a medium socket. Please be advised that there is a possibility that the compact fluorescent lamp might be a bit tall, and would stick out of the shade from the top.
