  • Is the shade as amber as it looks in picture. I saw one at a lighting store that when off looked creamy color but when it was turned on it had a slight amber glow. Hope you can verify color before I order

    The 600FJBKMO which comes with the Onyx shade, should appear like cream color when off and it should have an amber hue to it when it is lit. But please keep in mind that these are hand blown so there will be slight variations with each shade.

VERY COOL fixture and I hope to have it working some day. Also, better price than other sites. Customer service has been phenomenal but I'd rather not have needed it. The site said the fixture takes (3) 60 watt medium base bulbs, it really takes 3 candelabra base 40 watt bulbs (not enough light). There is apparently an option for CFLs but not offered - they are checking for availability - if they can't get it I will have to modify it myself because I can't imagine another fixture here and I have looked. No instructions on how the cable adjustment works for the hanging cables (although it is well thought out once i figured it out). There is plenty of extra cable and power cord to hang the light from a high ceiling but too much to coil into the JB cover (I am hesitant to cut it off for the possibility of a future incarnation of it/different location but don't know what to do with it if I don't). the cables were tangled when i got it and had to change the holes they went into. The top of the light housing could be a little stiffer. The finial for securing the shade to the light housing was missing. I will accept all of this for the great design but would have preferred not to have had to. Details! As an architect these are very important to me.
