    Hello Rosa, Unfortunately, Maxim Lighting has advised that they don't recommend to hang this fixture with the glass opening facing downward because the 100W lamp would overheart the socket. There is not enough space for the heat to dissipate.

Well made beautiful vanity light

This is a well made all metal light. The arms are made on the light not held on with nuts. There are no poly resin or plastic parts on it to crack and start crumbling as I have experienced with my last fixture that I paid a lot more for. The light has beautiful thick decorative globes. We really love this light! Great product!
