  • I cannot tell from the description what or where the lighting is on the Concord Fans Capetown 52" Traditional Ceiling Fan - CC-52CP6. It does not show on the image. It says uplighting 4 x 40W. Please specify as I do need some light.

    Concord Fans (the manufacturer) advised that there is an uplight that that is not visible by just looking at the Capetown ceiling fan. The light is sunken into the top of the ceiling fan's motor and would only be visible if you were looking down upon the ceiling fan. This would not be sufficient light output if this were your only source of light, as it serves more as a mood light.

Just what I was looking for...beautiful!

This Concord Aracruz ceiling fan is absolutely gorgeous! After searching online for literally days, we came across this fan and are very pleased with it. We wanted an uplight on our fan to enhance the recently installed wooden ceiling. Perfect choice! The uplighting is moody and soft due to the dimmer/remote that we also purchased. Just be aware that if the blades are turning while the uplight is lit it gives a somewhat strobe light effect on the walls. (Imagine a light above the blades shining not only up but glowing through the shade as well.) I love the metal decor and the addition of the Pristine light kit Y-281A-ORB compliments perfectly. It looks as good, if not better than depicted in the photo. My guys said installation was not difficult. Only installed yesterday but I love the look.
