Q & A of the Day

  • The specs say 3-40W bulbs. I like this fixture but it would not provide enough light in my hallway. What would happen if a higher wattage regular or CFL bulb were used?
    blanche Feb 01, 2013
The manufacturer Capital lighting highly suggest that you do not go higher than the wattage that is recommended for the fixture. Placing a higher wattage can short out your fixture and cause it to blow out and could possibly be a safety concern as well. Placing a higher wattage also automatically voids your warranty. Even if you were to place a CFL bulb in the fixtures they would have to be no higher than the wattage you are allowed.
