Design Tips:

  • In general, pendants should hang approximately 30” above a dining table to provide ample illumination without glare.
  • Pendants should hang approximately 30”–40” above work surfaces like kitchen counters, in a manner that doesn’t obstruct your view.
  • Give your pendant a little leeway. For most hardwired applications, be sure the cord is at least 4’-6’ long so you’ll have room to make adjustments.
  • No need to duck: Ensure each pendant clears the head of the tallest person in your home by at least 20–25.”
  • Multiples of three are pleasing to the eye. When hanging identical fixtures, consider an odd-numbered group to create rhythm and balance.
  • Counterbalance shapes for a more dramatic effect. For example, if you have boxy furniture, consider cylindrical pendants for contrast.
  • To diminish or prevent glare, choose a pendant with a light diffuser or semi-opaque bulbs.

  • Is this good lighting for my 94yr old mother to read her paper at a kitchen table?

    The AC-63004LED has 4 spot lights that are 4w LED per spot light. 4W LED is equivalent to about 35W halogen. So, this fixture will give you about 140W of light over the dining room table. This fixture is a great idea if you would like the light for the purpose of reading. The spots create directional light. The only thing we would recommend is choosing a fixture with more light output because as we age our response to illumination diminishes. So, the more light the better here, in order to prevent eye strain.

Not happy, Not the color glass I ordered

I ordered the light that was a little more expensive because of the color glass I wanted, when it arrived it was te cheaper glass color. Does not even match what I want.
