piece of junk from China

DO NOT BUY THIS THING! It is beautiful, that's for sure. In the first place, it is so light weight and why shouldn't it be? It's made from foam and other stuff. Take a look at the legs which you just assume are wood and would go nicely with your 1300.00 couch you just bought! When the hassock arrived one of the plastic/foam legs was split and you could SEE what it was made from. In the second place, it is too low to put your feet on comfortably. blah blah Bottom line.......looks good............cheap cheap cheaply made. Suggestion? Make it in the USA, make it a couple of inches higher, and don't raise the price (it cost plenty) Shame on you, Arcadian Home, for featuring this inferior item!!

Pop Art in FurnishingsMar 25, 2013

The 1950s was one of the most notable periods of design and art since it resulted in the emergence of the Pop Art Movement. Promoting “Abstract Expressionism,” the visual art movement gained momentum after World War II, as it veered to postwar consumerism and celebrity culture. Pop artists like Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, and Claus Oldenburg drew inspiration from mundane objects, advertising, comics, celebrities and movies and immortalized them in mass-produced objects. The widely recognizable postwar style is still relevant in today’s time, especially in the design continuum. Listed below ...(Read More)
