Lite Source Bellva Traditional Crystal Chandelier
Question:
I am very interested in purchasing this Lite Source Bellva Traditional Crystal Chandelier – LS-C71145 but I am concerned that it may be too large for my space. I want to replace my chanderlier in my dining room. The lighting fixture is 10″ long, 24″ with chain. The width is 14″. It has 5 lights, which hold 40 watt bulbs. I am not sure of the dimensions of the room but it can comfortably hold a table with 8 chairs. The ceiling is 8 feet. Could you give me some feedback?
Answer:
The typical rule of thumb with chandeliers is that, in order to keep things proportional the diameter of your chandelier in inches should be the SUM of the length and width of your room in feet.
For example, if you have a room that is 10′x 12′ then you should be considering chandeliers that are 22″ in diameter.
