    • UGH, not good lighting source for kitchen

I love the fixtures themselves, they look great. The problem is that the ad said brilliantly lights area, wrong. When we installed them and turned them on we were shocked to have very yellow light and dim too. Each fixture takes 4/50w Halogen bulbs. They also have a protective frosted cover that goes over each bulb. The bulbs themselves were included from the manufacturer and were frosted. I contacted Arcadian Lighting and they contacted the manufacturer to get the bulbs replaced with clear. I have 4 fixtures for a total of 14 bulbs. The manufacturer only sent 4 bulbs and they were the exact frosted bulbs that I aready have. I contacted Arcadian and they said that frosted was all that the manufacturer had, REALLY? Arcadian originally told me that eventhough the fixtures were installed that I could return them. Not the case once they realized that the manufacturer had no soulution. In the end, I am left purchasing my own replacement clear bulbs at $7.00 each total of $98. If this does not solve the problem, I am stuck with a $698 investment that we can not afford to replace. I will never purchase another lighting fixture online unless I have had the opportunity to see it in a store first.
