Hello Debra, The main difference is the brand name; one is Tech Lighting -700, while the other is Wilmette-600, although Wilmette happens to be a branch of Tech Lighting. Both of them have similar glass, but there are more glass color options under the 700FJM. As per Tech Lighting, the Wilmette Melrose (600FJM) is meant to convey an antique look, while the Tech Lighting Melrose (700FJM) has a contemporary flavor.Aug 06, 2008
